Little Europe

D-ACJH
1998-10

This special scheme was unveiled when CityLine celebrated its 40th anniversary in 1998. The airline can indeed trace its history back to taxi operator Ostfriesische Lufttaxi which started operations in Emden in November 1958. Later the venture became OLT and while local Emden operations mostly remained under the OLT name, regional operations soon started under the DLT brand, which in turn started to cooperate with Lufthansa. The DLT brand disappeared in 1992 when the airline became Lufthansa CityLine.

The two sides of this special livery were different and displayed European landmarks served by the carrier: the Little Mermaid, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, the Brandenburg Gate, Saint Basil's Cathedral (Moscow), the Wiener Riesenrad, the Cologne Cathedral, the Atomium (Brussels), Big Ben, the Eiffel Tower and the Colosseum.
