1999-06

Pokémon (also known as Pocket Monsters in Japan) is a franchise created by Satoshi Tajiri in 1995, and owned by Nintendo. The success of the 3 Pokémon Jets on the domestic market led ANA to launch its international counterpart in February 1999. The design of the livery was identical except for the titles and the tail which retained the standard ANA titles. The maiden international Pokémon service took place on February 24, 1999 between Narita and New York JFK. The aircraft was initially known as Pokemon Jet U.S. version (ポケモンジェットU.S.バージョン) but that changed to International Version when the aircraft started serving Europe later in the year.
