Glay is a popular Japanese Pop Rock band from Hakodate. This aircraft was unveiled in July 1999 and promoted an exhibition dedicated to the Group as well as JAL’s route from Haneda to Hakodate. Also note that the titles were in English only, a surprising move for an aircraft flying domestic sectors exclusively. Note the decals were kept longer than expected as the plane proved to be very popular. JA8170 was one of only two 747-100 that had been modified with a stretched upper deck, making it look like a -300.
