This colourful livery depicts typical Hainan Island waterscape including a beach, sea shells, colourful fish and birds. The waves were stylized using traditonnal Chinese patterns, conveying the good vibes of the island's nature, and intended to express the airline's corporate values. This aircraft was used in several marketing campaigns in the 2000s, including during the 2006 Cross-strait Spring Festival charter season, being a very appropriate image of the seething cross-strait exchanges.
