The East Asian Games is a multi-sport event that took place every four years between 1993 and 2013. Between 8 and 10 Far East Nations had their athletes competing in about 20 sports, including traditionnal sports as well as bowling, dragon boat, taekwondo and wushu (kung fu). From 2019 on, the event becomes the East Asian Youth Games. Macau was the host nation of the 2005 edition.

Not every aircraft in the Air Macau fleet had the 5th East Asian Games titles applied; however that was the case of most aircraft (14 total, with slightly different decal size as well on some A321s), and these were kept until an astonishing 9 years after the event took place. Note the A319s had the titles near the front door due to the lack of space aft of the wing.
