Air Canada introduced this scheme in association with the Aboriginal Tourism Team Canada (ATTC) to raise awareness of Canada's native inhabitants. The eagle was the work of Arnold Jacobs, an Iroquois artist from the Six Nations Reserve in Ontario. His drawing was selected by a panel of representatives of all important indigenous organizations from 32 native artists designs. In 2008 the "Frosted Leaf" tail replaced the dark green tail for a while before the aircraft was fully repainted to the new standard scheme.
