Year 2001 coincided with the 50th anniversary of JAL, the 100th anniversary of the birth of Walt Disney and the opening of the Tokyo DisneySea Park. For the Disney celebrations JAL painted no less than 6 747 in what is known as the second batch of Dream Express liveries (the 1994/95 schemes being the first one). This 4th set of two aircraft unveiled in August 2001 saw the only -400 international to ever fly in a Dream Express livery (note she was used for Asia/Pacific flights only). Both Jumbos had the samed livery, which was different on the two sides of the fuselage.
