The Generalitat de Catalunya subsidised local operator Intermed (Intermediación Aérea) in 2002/3 to fly the Girona-Madrid route Air Nostrum had abandonned a few months before. Two ATR42s were used by Intermed including this airframe, proudly sporting the Public Transport of Catalonia red logo on the tail as well as Girona tourism markings on the front part of the fuselage.
