Named after the famous Laotian city of Luang Prabang, which literally means "Royal Buddha Image". The city was the royal capital of the kingdom of the same name and later of Laos until 1975. Note HS-PGR also carried the titles of Cambodian affiliate Siem Reap Air at some point.
