Dragonair celebrated its 20th anniversary on May 5, 2005 with the delivery of brand new A330 B-HWG. A large red dragon (in a design similar to the one of the Dragonair logo) filled most of the fuselage surface while other Hong Kong emblematic elements were added to the rest of the aircraft. The design was the work of illustrator Tania Willis.
The two sides of the fuselage were different, with the port side featuring a junk and fish leaping out of the water. Children playing with traditional Chinese lanterns were featured at the rear, with a classic village scenery in the background.
The starboard side showed a Star Ferry, the most famous skyscrapers of the Hong Kong CBD and a child playing with a butterfly-like kite with the hills in the background.
