Phalaenopsis (shortened as 'Phal' or moth orchid) is the most popular orchid genus in the trade, with many species native to Taiwan. About 50% of the world's production of these orchids originates from Taiwan. This special livery was the result of cooperation between the airline and the Council of Agriculture of the Executive Yuan (government) to promote Taiwan agricultural products abroad.
