Red Scarf Dream   红领巾梦想号

Young Pioneer
B-6261
China Eastern (Anhui » Jiangsu b.)
2007-11

In 2007 China Eastern launched a nationwide painting competition for children with "I want to fly" as a theme. Famous cartoonists Ding Wu and Mu Yin-tang selected six paintings with part of the six winning entries merged and painted on this A320. The "Red Scarf Dream" livery name was also chosen during a contest.

This aircraft originally belonged to the Anhui branch of China Eastern based in Hefei, and took part in celebrations of the June 1st International Children's Day, during which 30 primary school students from Hefei could visit the aircraft. Similar events in association with the Young Pioneers of China took place at a later stage. The latter is a large youth organization for children aged 6-14 with red scarf as a uniform. The aircraft is believed to have moved to the Jiangsu (Nanjing based) subsidiary of the airline at a later time.
