The success of American's Retro 757 N679AN led the airline to paint a second retrojet in 2000, this time in the 1964 Astrojet livery. Note the font used is the one of the 1959 livery though. N951AA wore the Astrojet livery during 17 years before the scheme was passed to sistership tail number 905.

Golden Harvest   金穗飘香

B-2642
2000-07

"Golden ears of wheat and their floating fragrance mean good harvest" could be a translation of this livery's name. The bucolic scenery with happy birds flying around was another auspicious design standing out in the Chinese airline scene in the early 2000s. It was the last of 10 special schemes unveiled at Hainan when delivered in December 2000.

Pause to Remember

2002-03

The Royal British Legion is a British charity providing financial, social and emotional support to members of the British Armed Forces, veterans and their dependants. The poppy is their logo, as WWI created prime conditions for poppies to flourish in battlefields in Flanders and north-west France. The flower became the symbol of remembrance when Lieutenant-Colonel John McCrae wrote the In Flanders Fields poem, which was widely shared in the English-speaking world. The decals were applied in time to commemorate Remembrance Day on November 11th which marked the end of World War I in 1918. Starting 2000 the decal was added on the fuselage with 3 different 757 sporting the decals for the 2000, 2001 & 2002 commemorations.

This is the first of three leisure-themed liveries evoking Thailand’s beaches & underwater world. The airline added its first jet in 2000 and this was the start of a new era: Bangkok Air’s immediate take on special and colourful liveries played an important role in the international recognition of the brand, primarily targetting tourists visiting Thailand’s hotspots. Note that HS-PGL sadly crash-landed at Surat Thani/Koh Samui on August 4th, 2009.

New Mexico One

#5

N781WN
2000-23
N8655D
2023-

New Mexico One was unveiled in Albuquerque on September 18, 2000 and was at the time Southwest's 10th specially painted plane. The scheme celebrated 20 years of service to the state, Albuquerque having been added to the network in April 1980.

The state flag features the ancient symbol of the Zia Pueblo Indians; dignitaries of the tribe had been consulted for the design of the livery. Children from the Zia Pueblo performed a traditional Crow Dance at the unveiling ceremony. The scheme stayed on the airframe while the WN livery was modified in 2005 & 2018; it was then transferred to a -800 in 2023.
