The whole Aerosucre fleet gained 40 años tail titles in 2010. HK-727 was retired with this scheme in March 2015, ending a whopping 49-year service life in Colombia with Avianca, Sam & Aerosucre. The aircraft is preserved in Cali. Details about its very last flight here.

[Thumbs up]   [Pulgares hacia arriba]

HK-727
2004-06

It is unclear why this aircraft -the very first 727 to be delivered in Colombia- gained an all-white livery with thumbs up decals on the tail in late 2004... any piece of information most welcome.

1999

The region of Armenia in the Colombian coffee-growing axis was hit by an earthquake on January 25, 1999. As the local airline, ACES actively contributed to the relief effort and opened a current account in the Bancafé so the public could make donations. The bank account number was directly displayed on many of the airline's planes, including at least one of 5 727. ATRs also had a smaller version of the decal.

It is unclear to me if these special titles were indeed to celebrate New Year 1999... C-FNVT was in a NWT Air hybrid scheme (with the AC tail) while C-GNWN had a basic white livery.

Spectacular livery for the 25th anniversary of the Indianapolis-based charter airline. The 727 had "Priceless Memories" titles on the port side under the cockpit windows.
