The Yôkoso! Japan was a large initiative by the Japanese Tourism Bureau to invite more visitors from the rest of Asia and overseas. It was featured on both JAL and ANA planes but decals were more prominent at JAL. These two JAA aircraft were the only ones to display traditional postcard artwork. JAA Japan Asia was the JAL subsidiary in charge of flights to Taiwan (by that time JAL itself could not fly to Taiwan in its name because of diplomatic tensions with the PRC).
