The Royal British Legion | Poppy Scotland

G-LGNS
2018

The Royal British Legion is a British charity providing financial, social and emotional support to members of the British Armed Forces, veterans and their dependants. The poppy is their logo, as WWI created prime conditions for poppies to flourish in battlefields in Flanders and north-west France. The flower became the symbol of remembrance when Lieutenant-Colonel John McCrae wrote the In Flanders Fields poem, which was widely shared in the English-speaking world. Special decals were added on this Saab 2000 for the 2018 celebrations with British Legion markings on the port side and Poppy Scotland titles on the starboard side.
