Cebu has a long history of guitar making due to its traditional industry. Most of the guitar manufacturers are family-owned enterprises passed on from one generation to another. Mangos were visible on the front part of the plane, with the underwater world depicted on the rear part.

The Philippines as seen by Cebu Pacific. One of 5 special liveries unveiled by Cebu in the late nineties/early 2000s. RP-C1535 was the first aircraft wearing a full special scheme in the Southeast Asia region when it was bought from Air Canada in December 1997. The colourful special scheme celebrated the young airline's effort to make domestic travel in the Philippines more affordable. The airframe was withdrawn from use in 2001 and the livery later re-appeared on sistership RP-C1546 with some very minor changes in the livery.
