Negaraku means "My Country" in Malay and is the name of the country's national anthem. Since 2017 Negaraku also refers to the national initiative introduced by the government of that time, dubbed a "nationwide movement driven by Malaysians for all Malaysians with the objective of fostering unity among all and inspiring the spirit of patriotism". A different version of the livery was created for MAS' subsidiaries MASwings & Firefly (see separately). Note the additional 1Malaysia logo on the A350/A332 and the small Negaraku titles on 9M-MXS.
During the Northern Summer 2020 season, several A330-300s started to appear in the Negaraku scheme, with several 738s following. The scheme then slowly became the new standard livery for the airline.

This stunning scheme was unveiled in September 2005, a few months after the Jumbo Hibiscus livery. The scheme was designed to raise awareness of the brand and to highlight the newly retrofitted cabin upgrade as well as the new service delivery under the 'New Experience - An Experience redefined' campaign. A blue Heliconia flower was chosen to represent the new Business Class cabin with the 'Freedom of space' motto. The scheme was also a visual statement of the airline's pride after many prizes and awards for passenger service.

In March 2005 Malaysia unveiled the first of two 'Hibiscus'-themed Jumbos. The livery was designed to increase brand awareness and to highlight the newly retrofitted cabin upgrade and new service delivery under the 'New Experience - An Experience redefined' campaign. The Hibiscus flower was chosen to represent the new First Class cabin, while the Heliconia would represent the new Business Class cabin (see the 777). The scheme was also a a visual statement of the airline's pride after many prizes and awards for passenger service.Hibiscus rosa-sinensis (Bunga Raya in Malay) is the national flower of Malaysia. The scheme's subtlewatermark treatment was designed to represent 'the exhilaration from within'.
