Garuda once again participated in the country's independence celebrations in 2025 on the occasion of the 80th anniversary. The special scheme is different on the two sides; it is the result of a partnership with Indonesian fashion brand Cap Bali. The aircraft showcases the work of two young Indonesian artists: Erika Richardo contributed the illustration “People with Culture”, featuring characters from 16 Indonesian ethnic groups while Raka Jana designed the “Jejak Garuda” pattern, blending cultural and natural motifs such as orchids, traditional weaving, and kayonan patterns.

In April 2025 a second Garuda jet joined the Soratobu Pikachu Project by the Pokémon Company. The livery is different on the two sides and features 5 different Pikachu wearing unique batik shirts. The livery highlights the airline's efforts towards sustainable operations in partnership with -among others- fuel producer Pertamina, which helps the airline test blends of kerosen with palm oil as an alternative aviation fuel.
