JAL & the Universal Studios Japan are partners since 2015. This 4th iteration of the USJ special scheme at J-Air celebrates the opening of the "Donkey Kong Country" at "Super Nintendo World" at the theme park in December 2024. The scheme is only very slightly different on the two sides and shows the Minions, Harry Potter, Elmo and Cookie Monster from Sesame Street, Woody Woodpecker as well as Mario and Donkey Kong from Super Nintendo World. Expected livery removal date : June 2026

This special livery was different on the two sides of the fuselage and featured Expo 2025 mascot Myaku Myaku. Expo 2025 is a World's Fair that was held in Osaka in 2025 with the theme "Designing Future Society for Our Lives". Note the logo of the Expo had changed from the logo used when it was a candidate city back in 2018 (as seen on Peach and Jetstar Japan aircraft).

JAL & the Universal Studios Japan are partners since 2015. The aircraft was primarily assigned to routes from Osaka, near which the theme park is located. This scheme featured several characters from the USJ world: Minions, Mario from Super Nintendo World, Elmo and Cookie Monster from Sesame Street as well as decals representing movies Jurassic Park, Jaws and Harry Potter.

In 2021 JAL, J-Air and JAC all added stickers to an aircraft each to support the next batch of World Natural Heritage Registration in the Okinawa & Kagoshima Prefectures. The area concerned by the registration consisted of Amami Ōshima Island, Tokunoshima Island, the northern part of Okinawa Island and Iriomote Island. The three mascots present on the decals were: Kui-chan (Okinawa Rail), Amakuro (Amami rabbit) and Yamaneko Maya (Iriomote).

In parallel with the full special scheme unveiled on JA11RK at JTA, J-Air and JAC unveiled small stickers showing their support for the campaign for a designated area in Okinawa & Kagoshima Prefectures to be registered a World Natural Heritage Site. The area consists of Amami Ōshima Island, Tokunoshima Island, the northern part of Okinawa Island and Iriomote Island. These were modified to #4 when the sites were officially registered.

JAL unveiled these two rugby logojets in time to support the national team for the World Cup held in Japan in late 2019. A total of 18 players were featured on the planes, 9 from the regular team on the port side and 9 from the wheelchair team on the starboard side. The E-Jey received the decals a month after the 767.

This was JAL's initiative in the aftermath of the 2018 Hokkaido Eastern Iburi earthquake which happened on September 6 and killed 41, mostly because of landslides in the area. JAL, J-Air & JAC incentives were in the form of lower airfares and campaigns to stimulate tourism to the island to help reconstruction. Note the decals were particularly small on the Saab.

Shimajiro (Striped Island Tiger Shimajirō to be precise) is the name of an educationnal manga & anime series for preschoolers. The series celebrated 30 years in 2018 and JAL teamed up with education publisher Benesse to design this special livery. Note that the two sides of the fuselage showed Shimajiro and friends in different positions.

Nanki–Shirahama Airport is a third-class airport serving the Wakayama area and the southern part of the Kii Peninsula. Its only scheduled service is the 3-daily JAL/J-Air service to & from Tokyo-Haneda. This special livery was unveiled to commemorate the opening of the airport and the opening of the JAL link in partnership with the Wakayama Prefecture tourism board. Panda Wakapan is the prefecture's mascot; it refers to the giant pandas that live in the nearby Adventure World park, one of the touristic spots in the area.

The Tohoku region was ravaged by the 2011 earthquake and tsunami. JAL sponsored the Destination Tohoku campaign which aimed at bringing back tourists to the area. The red titles were made of Facebook profile pictures of 7,860 people who supported this project.

The United Nations Earth creatures Conference (COP10) was held in Nagoya in 2010 and highlighted the importance of biological diversity. JAL teamed up with the Kameda Seika food company for the event and their "Happy Turn" snacks were served onboard the planes during Summer 2010. Origami representing animals were also available onboard for children.
