In 2019 Sriwijaya Air & affiliate NAM Air sponsored the wildlife protection programme for endangered Orangutans. The airline teamed up with Bank Kalteng to organize a charity fun run dubbed "oRUNgutan" in late September 2019 aiming at raising awareness of wildlife conservation issues. The airline also offered promotional packages including the entrance fee to Tanjung Puting National Park which can be reached via Pangkalan Bun Iskandar Airport in southern Borneo. Short-lived decals as the aircraft would be abruptly withdrawn from service just weeks later.

Sriwijaya is a sponsor of the MXGP World Championship Indonesia Grand Prix since 2017. In 2018 4 additional aircraft appeared with a smaller decal and Tiket.com titles, promoting an online travel agent in Indonesia. Note the relative position of the decals was not the same on different a/c; tiket.com decals were removed first.

These special decals were added first on PK-CKJ to highlight the start of services to the Eastern Indonesia province of West Papua with links to Sorong and Manokwari in July 2011. Sriwijaya affiliate NAM Air introduced the decal on a first ATR in 2017.
