This airframe was the second ex-BA Cityflyer E170 phased in by Envoy Air. The aircraft received a retro American Eagle livery, which was unveiled on National Aviation Day 2021 (August 20).

American participates in a charity supporting the families of fallen US military personnel. A total of 8 aircraft featured the yellow ribbon, with these 5 Eagle aircraft in addition to 3 mainline airframes. The ATR was unveiled first among the commuters.

American unveiled a mainline 757 and an Eagle E145 in the pink ribbon scheme at Dallas-Ft. Worth in August 2008. The Eagle airframe was N909AE. The regional jet was quickly joined by another 5 ERJs, and in 2011 two additional 145s were added. All aircraft lost their pink ribbon in the new livery repaint process. The charity is the most widely known, largest and best-funded breast cancer organization in the United States.

American Eagle is a proud sponsor of the Make-A-Wish foundation, which helps children with life-threatening diseases to live rich human experiences. The two sides of the fuselage were different, with children drawings and the following wishes: "I want to go to Jamaica/I want to have a Playhouse./I want to meet a Polar Bear./I want to go on a Cruise."
