Hamilton Islands

Promoting tourism Hamilton Island, the largest inhabited island of the Whitsunday Islands (Queensland). It is also the only island in the Great Barrier Reef with its own commercial airport. In the early 1990s it was served by East-West for Ansett.

Conrad Jupiters Hotel Casino

By the early 90s East-West was a subsidiary of Ansett and flew a pair of 727s between Sydney, Melbourne and the Gold Coast. This aircraft received decals advertising a hotel & casino on the Gold Coast.

Queensland

1989-90

This aircraft was operated during the lenghty 1989 Australian pilots' dispute by Paramount Airways of the UK (which had just halted opeartions in the UK) on behalf of Ansett and the Queensland government. Additional Queensland titles were added from the start. The aircraft was transferred to Ansett subsidiary East-West in April 1990 and flew one more month before going to Varig.

These special titles replaced the standard East-West titles to promote the Gold Coast services of the airline in partnership with 4GG (Gold Coast) and 2WS (Western Suburbs of Sydney), 2 local radios.
