Pegasus took delivery of its 100th aircraft the year the Republic of Turkey celebrated its 100th anniversary and this special scheme celebrates both events. An artistic rendering of the head of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founding father of the Republic, adorns the tail of the aircraft. While standard Pegasus aircraft are named after the first names of the children of airline employees, this one is named "Cumhuriyet" which translates as Republic.

Young guests have always been of a special importance at Pegasus : they star in the airline's safety video and Pegasus has the habit of naming newly delivered aircraft after the youngest daughters of its employees. The concept was extended in 2011 when a competition opened for young customers to have their name on a plane, and subsequently "The World’s Most Wonderful Gift" painting competition was launched, asking children to picture their dream holiday. The drawing of 9-year old Ada Eminağaoğlu from Izmir won the competition among 7,400 entries. The jury was composed of the young girls who have their name on Pegasus aircraft. Pegasus was given a Stevie Award for that initiative, honouring the best in marketing and communication campaigns.
