ATA Airlines is based in Tabriz and was a partner of the city's 2018 tourism campaign, trigerred by the fact that the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation named it Exemplary Tourist City of 2018. Tabriz lies in Northwestern Iran and is the capital of the East Azerbaijan province. Note EP-TAN had larger titles than EP-TAR; EP-TAG had the basic livery of previous operator Aurora.

Featured on the aicraft was the silhouette of the "Greek Ship", the nickname of cargo steamship Khoula F which has been beached on the southwest coast of the Island since 1966 and is now a tourist attraction. The arrival of two new MD80 at Windrose was the occasion for CEO Vladimir Kamenchuk to adapt Ukrainian folk stylistics he always loved on airliners. The airline worked with sketches of Kiev artist Svetlana Lopukhova with the purpose of popularizing Ukrainian culture abroad.
The two planes were decorated with a mix of colourful modern patterns and illustrations of national folklore.  This second scheme was designed on the grounds of Ukrainian folk song Nese Halya vodu (Несе Галя воду, Halya Carries Water in English). Note the storks, considered as the national bird of Ukraine.
