These decals could be seen on the port side only; they promoted the Japan bid for the Expo 2025 World Fair. Osaka made its official bid for the Expo on April 24, 2017 with the theme “Designing Future Society for Our Lives”. The city was officially chosen on 23 November 2018 after it eliminated Ekaterinburg in the final round. The decal was removed shortly afterwards (probably because of the sponsoring contracts).

The "SpiderJet" was unveiled in June 2017 in anticipation of the release of the 2017 sequel of the Spiderman action movie. Jetstar Japan organised a series of events related to the movie release, including a special flight with 40 Spider-Man Cosplayers. The 40 Spider-Men (including a few Spider-Women) winners were selected to board a flight from Tokyo to Osaka after the airline ran a competition inviting potential passengers to upload a picture of themselves striking a Spidey pose, in costume.
