The Red Sea Project, commonly referred to as The Red Sea, is a land and property megaproject in development in Saudi Arabia. It is part of the part of the government-led Saudi Vision 2030 program. The project focuses on luxury and ecotourism to attract visitors to the Red Sea coast. The appearance of the decal coincided with the start of regular Saudia flights to the newly-opened Red Sea International Airport (RSI/OERS). The airport will be able to serve amphibious seaplanes with a dedicated water runway.

Neom is a project of city being built in the Tabuk Province of northwestern Saudi Arabia north of the Red Sea; it is planned to incorporate smart city technologies and to function as a tourist destination. The first flight to land at newly-buit Neom Bay airport was a Saudia plane on June 30, 2019.

Saudia unveiled this 1972 retro livery in 2021 on the occasion of the delayed celebrations of its 75th anniversary. The scheme was unveiled in time for Saudi National Day 2021 (September 23). Months later the airline would unveil a new scheme inspired by this classic livery.

The “Year of Arabic Calligraphy” initiative was launched by Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Culture to highlight Arabic calligraphy as a distinct art which embodies the richness and aesthetics of the Arabic language. The calligraphs displayed on these 787 were similar to the ones seen on two Flynas A320neos and formed the logo of the initiative.

The 2020 G20 Riyadh summit was to the fifteenth meeting of Group of Twenty and was to be held in late November in the capital of the Kingdom, however, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was held virtually. The summit logo was inspired by colored filaments from Bedouin fabrics and featured the colours of participating countries; it is the work of 28-year-old Saudi Arabian designer Mohammed Al-Hawas.

Saudia was an official partner of the Saudi National Team -known as The Green Falcons- for the 2018 World Cup in Russia. The livery was made of a Saudi Falcon merged with the national flag, an encouragement phrase and different images of players on the two sides of the fuselage.

This second special livery for Saudia was unveiled for the 2016 Saudi National Day celebrations. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was established on 23 September 1932. Note the arabic titles just mean "Saudi Arabia" on a green flag inspired by the banner of unification and the flag of the Kingdom.
