The ancient city of Nanchang is not only a famous red capital; it is also a shining business card in the history of Chinese aviation manufacturing. The delivery of the first ARJ21 to Jiangxi Air was celebrated with a large red ribbon referring to the Jinggang Mountain Range (Jinggangshan), which is known as the birthplace of the Chinese Red Army, predecessor of the People's Liberation Army, and the "cradle of the Chinese revolution".
The shape of the red ribbon itself mirrors the Chinese Red Army commemorative monument that can be seen atop a summit of the Jinggang Range. Note the livery was applied while the aircraft still had its test registration B-001K; it had been showcased at Nanchang already in November 2019.
