100 years Sovereignty of Iceland   100 ár Fullveldi Íslands

Þingvellir
TF-ISX
2018-25

Unveiled in 2018 to celebrate two major occasions for Icelanders. First the Danish–Icelandic Act of Union (signed on December 1, 1918), recognized Iceland as a fully independent and sovereign state. Second Year 2018 marked the first time the country's national football team participated in the World Cup; as a sponsor of the team, Icelandair carried the players and staff to Moscow & other places in Russia for their matches. The inner side of the winglets showed #TeamIceland titles. Note the livery was kept after the aircraft was transferred to FlyKhiva (Uzbekistan). The aircraft was named Þingvellir after a national park in southwestern Iceland. The park lies in a rift valley that marks the crest of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge. It is of particular significance to the history of the country as it is the place where the Alþingi (Althing) - the national parliament of Iceland - was established in 930 AD, with sessions taking place on site as late as 1798.

2010-12

Characters from the Peanuts Gang from the famous American comic strip adorned the titles of almost all Condor planes in 2010-2012. Only an aircraft in each subfleet had a full set of 8 characters added though; the move was a partnership between Condor, the Wings of Help charity and the licensing agency of the Snoopy characters & friends, which were celebrating their 60th anniversary in 2010.

We love flying.  Wir lieben Fliegen.

Willi
D-ABON
2006-25

Condor launched a new marketing campaign celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2006 and painted this 757 with a fly and large hearts all over the fuselage, wings & stabilizer (!!). This aircraft is a "flying declaration of love". It is named Willi after late Condor sales executive Wilfried "Willi" Meyer, who for 30 years had been the defining influence for the image of the airline. Winglets were fitted on the aircraft in early 2010. Note small yellow balloons with "50 years" titles were added fleetwide in the meantime. The design is different on the two sides.

Dunaliella - Chlostanin   ドナリエラ クロスタニン

Soaring across the world   世界に翔く
4X-BAU
2004&05

During February 2004 and October 2005 (and possibly more occasions?) Arkia added stickers to this 757 when the aircraft was chartered by Japanese health food company Dunaliella. Chlostanin is one of its products; the trip from Japan to Israel was to visit the company's founder bronze statue. Yoshiho Tanaka was one of the first to develop Microalgae-based food as complements. Company titles were in Japanese on the port side and in English on the starboard side.

The final version of the Pleasant (Hawaiian) Holidays scheme was also the simplest with small titles on two 753s. In 2005 the tour operator signed a new partnership with United and the titles on ATA aircraft finally disappeared.
