This is the updated version of the Teamwork livery introduced in 1994, emphasizing the nationwide network coverage of the airline. A new employee contest was organised and this elegant design showing landmarks of cities and areas served by America West was chosen. Note the livery featured the World Trade Center Twin Towers and following the 9/11 attacks a large American Flag was added close to them.

In October 1996 the aircraft that was used by the Suns NBA team got a purple version of the new 1995 America West livery. It would be the very last 737-100 to fly commercially until retirement on December 29, 1999.

America West signed a marketing alliance with the Phoenix-based Arizona Diamondbacks in 1996, and unveiled this special 757 on May 17, 1996. The baseball team's ballpark was a neighbour of the America West Arena which housed the Suns NBA team.

 This special livery was unveiled on October 19, 1995 as the third and final state flag-themed scheme at America West. The frame was named after the first and only Eastern city where America West established a hub: Colombus. The hub had officially been launched on December 15, 1992.The livery depicts an artist's rendering of the Ohio Burgee, the name given to the state's flag. The red disc is suggestive of the state's name and the colours are the very classic blue, white and red which remind us of the Federal flag.

 This striking scheme was unveiled on April 20, 1995. N916AW sported the colors of the flag of Arizona, where America West's Phoenix hometown and biggest hub was located. The scheme was unveiled about a year after Southwest painted its Arizona One logojet. When N916AW -which was a leased aircraft- was returned to the lessor in April 1998, sistership 901 gained the Arizona Flag scheme; she would be replaced in turn by A319 N826AW. The scheme and colour tones were slightly different on the two 757s. The flag of Arizona consists of 13 rays of red and gold on the top half (the colors of the flag of Spain) and the number 13 represents the 13 original states of the USA. The copper star refers to the copper mining industry while the blue represents the Colorado River.

 Sporting the colors of the flag of Nevada, where America West's Las Vegas hub was located. This scheme was unveiled about 4 years before Southwest painted its Nevada One logojet, and was later replaced by A319 N822AW after the merger with US Airways.The design of the livery includes a silver star (a reference to the state's nickname, The Silver State) and the “Battle Born” banner referring to Nevada’s birth as a state during the Civil War in 1864. Green sagebrush (the state flower) with yellow flowers is dislayed around the star as it is on the flag.

In 1994 America West organised a design competition, asking the children of its 11'000 employees to illustrate their "idea of Teamwork" on a plane. This iconic special was unveiled on October 29, 1994, celebrating the airline's corporate values. The scheme was designed by Ann Rogan, the 11 year-old daughter of America West pilot John Rogan. A commercial was recorded for marketing purposes (see here). The scheme was updated in 2000 (see separately).

America West was the official partner of the Phoenix Suns NBA team from 1989 and this fully-painted logojet was finally unveiled on May 16, 1994, being the first fully special-themed aircraft of America West.

In 1989 marketing agreement was signed between America West and the Phoenix Suns basketball team, making their new home in downtown Phoenix the America West Arena. It was not until 1993 that small logos made their way onto America West planes. The very small rear door stickers were soon followed by a larger one beneath the window line at the front of the wing of this aircraft. It was the aircraft actually used by the team for its transport needs. While the full Suns logojet was unveiled in May 1994 on a 757, this 731 saw its livery updated in 1996 (#3).

America West was the official partner of AmeriFlora '92, an international horticultural exhibition held in Columbus, Ohio from April 20 to October 12, 1992. This event commemorated the quincentenary anniversary of Christopher Columbus's arrival in the Americas. The city was chosen primarily because Columbus is the largest city in the world named after the explorer.
