A new JAL Disney jet appeared in late 2020 to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Fantasia, an animated film created by Walt Disney in 1940. The film consists of eight animated segments set to pieces of classical music where -among others- Mickey Mouse casts magic on a broom and manipulates stars and clouds in the night sky.
The scheme was different on the two sides of the aircraft and was unveiled on November 18, the "birthday" of Mickey & Minnie Mouse. The first flight of the aircraft in the special scheme was a sightseeing charter flight operating from Haneda as JL1940 and drawing a large "8" celebrating the 80th anniversary of the movie.

Amabie (アマビエ) is a legendary Japanese mermaid or merman with three legs. When it reportedly appeared in 1846 its prophecy was "Good harvest will continue for six years from the current year; if disease spreads, draw a picture of me and show the picture of me to those who fall ill and they will be cured." During the COVID-19 epidemic, amabie became a popular topic on Twitter in Japan. A logo featuring an Amabie was added to the underside of this 767 in September 2020 and by early October large titles promoting the JAL campaign aiming at reassuring its customers were added. Note the Amabie decal under the fuselage is also present on J-Air E170 JA211J.
