Kuehne+Nagel  

Flying into the future CO2-neutral

Global transport and logistics company Kuehne+Nagel is a partner of Lufthansa Cargo in promoting CO2-neutral power-to-liquid fuel, specifically here the use of synthetic crude oil from NGO atmosfair based in Berlin.

Thank you MD-11 - Farewell

Lufhansa Cargo's last MD-11 was retired in October 2021 and wore special titles for a couple of weeks before being withdrawn from use. The special decal remained while the aircraft was being transferred to Western Global Airlines as N783SN.

After a very short-lived decal on D-ALFF in November 2020, D-ALFG received multiple stickers in May 2021 when the regular SAF cargo flights started between Frankfurt and Shanghai. Sustainable Aviation Fuels are produced from feedstocks and the remaining CO2 footprint is compensated by a program which plants trees.

A short-lived decal was added to D-ALFF in late November 2020 when LH Cargo operated what it called its first "CO2 neutral flight", which used Sustainable Aviation Fuels (produced from feedstocks), with the remaining CO2 footprint compensated by a program which plants trees. LH8406 linked Frankfurt with Shanghai and paved the way for regular SAF flights in Summer 2021.

BMW Vision iNext 

Lifting iNext

2018-19

BMW teamed up with Lufthansa Cargo in late Summer 2018 to present its iNext concept car to a selection of international media representatives. The concept car and associated showcase box was loaded in the 777F and the aircraft made a round-the-world flight, leaving BMW headquarters in Munich on 9 September and calling in at New York, San Francisco and Beijing before landing in Frankfurt on 14 September. The livery was then kept for a while.
