China Express is a large operator in Xinjiang and serves Hami Yizhou Airport also know as Kumul Airport, which serves the county. The special scheme was unveiled on the day of the opening of the new Barkol Dahe airport on July 15, 2025. On that occasion a new Chongqing-Hami link, another Belt & Road initiative route, was launched as well. Note that Chengdu Airlines has similar decals on a C909 (B-651P).

Lüliang (or Lvliang) is the city in the west of Shanxi province advertised on this aircraft. China Express serves the local Lvliang Dawu airport and teamed up with city officials to design this scheme. Lüliang landmarks visible in this livery include the Monument to the Revolutionary Heroes of the Shanxi-Sui Border Region, the Qikou Ancient Town, the Qiwan of the Yellow River, the Fenjiu liquor (a traditional mild-flavored spirit made in Fenyang), as well as traditional cave dwellings.

Daomu Biji can be translated as Tomb Raiders’ Chronicles. Written over a span of five years and published as nine separate novels, it is one of the most popular novel series in China since 2007 with several million fans and over 20 million copies sold. The books have since been adapted into a television series and a film.
August 17th Rice Festival is an event spontaneously organized and jointly initiated by fans of Tomb Raiders’ Chronicles. It originated from the "ten-year agreement" between the Wu Xie and Zhang Qiling characters in front of the bronze gate in the Nanpai Sanshu book. August 17th of each year has become a customary fan festival since, and the airline organizes special flights to transport fans on the occasion.

China Express was a partner of the Wuhu City Government and this livery celebrated the efforts to link this Anhui province city on the Southeast bank of the Yangtze River with more cities in China. Graphic elements on the livery highlighted Wuhu modern transportation infrastructure : its airport, port, railway station as well as some city landmarks (including the Zhongjiang Pagoda). The livery was unveiled the day of the launch of the Guiyang-Wuhu-Fuzhou route by China Express.

In November 2020 China Express unveiled special decals on this A320, promoting Si Shi Jiu Fang. It is a brand launched in 2015 via crowdfunding and marketed as "Forty-Nine Union" in English, mostly in the sauce-flavored liquor business. The company is based in Maotai, Guizhou, the birthplace of this traditional Baijiu (distilled liquor).

Although the airline displays China Express titles on its aircraft, the direct translation of its Chinese name is "China Airlines"; the special titles seen on this aircraft -the first ARJ21 for the Chongqing-based airline- literally meant "China Express", this time. Additional titles on this CRJ advertised two companies: First Tongcheng Travel, one of China's two major travel platforms. In Fall 2020 China Express and Tongcheng Travel teamed up to promote tourism to the Hubei province, hardly hit by the Covid-19 outbreak. The second brand featured here was PurCotton, a company producing skin-friendly and high-quality life care products. Both companies are headquartered in Suzhou near Shanghai.

The first real special scheme of Chongqing-based China Express was unveiled on A320 B-8695 at Quzhou Airport in Zhejiang in March 2019. The livery was designed in partnership with the local government and featured the mascot of the municipality, "Happy Fawn" (快乐小鹿) as well as the "Grandpa from the south" (南孔爷爷) cartoon character. Three different and simplified variations of the scheme later appeared on CRJs.
