Sporting the colors of the flag of Nevada, where America West's Las Vegas hub was located. This scheme was unveiled about 4 years before Southwest painted its Nevada One logojet, and was later replaced by A319 N822AW after the merger with US Airways. The design of the livery includes a silver star (a reference to the state's nickname, The Silver State) and the “Battle Born” banner referring to Nevada’s birth as a state during the Civil War in 1864. Green sagebrush (the state flower) with yellow flowers is dislayed around the star as it is on the flag.
