Arizona One was unveiled in Phoenix on May 23, 1994 with much fanfare as the second state flag scheme. Arizona was an obvious choice because PHX was the airline's busiest station with more than 160 daily flights at that time. Ship 383 was withdrawn from service in late September 2017 and ship 955 was unveiled in the Arizona scheme in February 2018.
The flag of Arizona consists of 13 rays of red and gold on the top half, the colors of the flag of Spain, representing the 13 original states. The copper star represents the copper mining industry while the blue represents the Colorado River.
